Biografie (woord)

Eberhard Breitmaier führte seine Promotion bei Ernst Bayer an der Universität in Tübingen durch. Nach einem Postdoc-Aufenthalt und einer Position als Assistant Professor an der University of Houston, Texas, zog es ihn wieder zurück an die Universität in Tübingen, wo er sich 1971 habilitierte. Von 1975 bis 2004 war er Professor für organische Chemie und instrumentelle Analytik an der Universität in Bonn. Seine Forschung konzentrierte sich auf die 3-Alkoxyacroleine als Synthesereagenzien, porphyrinoide Annulene und Naturstoffe.
